Well here we are in 2010 and I'd just like to say, first off, what an absolute cracker of a year 2009 was! Not only only has the "Limb Love" taken off but it has become widespread across the country and hopefully will continue to grow this year.

January has seen us starting off the rocking in Limerick. We were joined on our trip by our good buds Vodkopter for a fantastic gig in Bakers Place. The venue was packed and Offaly natives "Heirs To Nothing" started off the rocking with a bang! Fair Play lads! Vodkopter provided the "chilled out entertainment" next, rounding off their set with the awesome guitar duel between Mick and Gav on the track "In Traffic". The Vods pitched up the proverbial "Rock" ball so the only thing we do was knock that son-bitch out of the park! From the minute the intro form our new track "Stay" hit the air, the crowd were loving the rock and spent most of the evening dancing to our tunes! There was even some slow dancing to "Halfway Girl". AWESOME

A big thanks to Shane and Ciaran in Bakers Place for sorting the gig out and providing a perfect sound job as always! Cheers Lads

Also a quick thank to the love child of The Whiskey Limbs, Mr. Sean Davis for accompanying us to Limerick to get his Limb Love in full swing! As always Sean you are the perfectly sculpted ice cube in the glass of whiskey we know as Limb. Good man!

Well next stop is Boyles of Slane! We'll be hitting there on thursday evening for an intimate acoustic set... well I'll still be bringing my big bad kit though! so some laid back Limb groove will be on the cards!

Sausage, Bacon Egg's Burgers and Chips

Well,

That’s how they do it in limerick town!!! It was the most absurd conundrum of a plate of food ever offered up to me and colm and big daddy mike for that matter (I don't know what Darren and Amy had though I did see black pudding somewhere in the mix......). Anywho :-) It was Saturday morning after the rock show and the rumour of an Eddie Rockets in the vicinity of the castle troy travel lodge turned out to be fiction, all the same there were hungry Davis's on the prowl and something was going to have to die to feed them.

Luckily situated next door, there was what turned out to be the most unpretentious and on that pissy wrenched October morning the greatest little cafe EVER!!!!! The kind of cafe lost to our capital. As well as the aforementioned feast of greasy goodness!!!! Colm asked for a glass of water ....HE GOT A JUG OF WATER we ordered two coffee's WE GOT A POT OF COFFEE they even supplied "old Mick" with a fabulous view of two delicious girlies sitting in a BMW 320 Coupe having a coffee right outside my window for the duration of the feed :-) IMAGINE. All while being serenaded by patsy Cline (just the CD they ain't that good)

The Show the night before was great too, We had a blast playing with Simon Fagan again and his band of distinguished gentlemen, and despite the night that was in it weather wise, all in all, there was a good turn out and a kicking session after!!! It all ended up back in the travel Lodge with myself and colm wrestling @ 4am over who got the single bed until guests started ringing management complaining about the noise BOO!!!

I could probably blabber on all night about it but I’ll quit now and just say thanks a million again to all in bakersplace and Simon and his crew and we hope to see you all in Whelan's on Saturday coming for Crazy Kicks with The Valentinos and Redkid!!

Weekly Update

Hey Hey

I've managed to stop Goggleing Michael Schumacher for two minutes to quickly run through the plan of action for the coming weeks,

We did a few acoustic shows over the summer so far and after a bit of trial and error we've kinda hit a sweet spot in the sound and we want to do some more!! So we've booked another night in the Songroom @ The Globe and we're going pay a visit to the Zodiac sessions in Bruxelles too, these are full band shows but with a stripped down vibe so no knee drops or bleeding ears. LOL :>

There is also some more radio stuff on the cards, we've been invited to the FM104 open mic session and also The Big Smile on Radio Na Life where you can hear us make pathetic attempts at speaking in our native tongue.

As far as Rock n' Roll goes we're going to pay our second visit to the Cellar Bar in Balbriggan with brothers in arms Vodkopter for a night of madness for anyone in north Dublin. All the dates and times for the radio shows and gigs are listed in the gig section on the page, we hope to see you there along the way at as many points as you can!!!

Lastly, this is a bit if info that we haven’t already blabbed this week. We've been chatting to Shane Cullen in K9 and we've a couple of dates put aside next month to start the follow up to "Dead Man's Dream" which we hope to have out in October in some form or another..... We might embrace the times and try a digital release this time.

Yo,

so it's not exactly morning cause I may have spent it watching a dog awful Richard Gere film "Nights At Rodandthe", at least he dies at the end, and actually a good bit before the end and it was PG so there was not as much of Diane Lane as I hoped. LOL.

Back to business.Thanks to all who came out on Friday to Whelan’s and to those who picked up the record, it was such a great evening, we all had a blast and we hope you's did too, to hear everyone singing along was a real treat!! And a special thanks to master of ceremonies John George Don Scorchio McHale for being the unbridled ball of enthusiasm that he is. We should have photos up pretty soon; the wonderful Enda Doran took 700 I think....

On Saturday we piled into the jeep and made for Cavan town to do the "baggy Jumper Show" with the lovely Karina Charles and Northern Sound Shannon Side FM, myself and Colm propped the bar and talked about ourselves(our favourite subject) while Big Daddy Mike, Dar and Amy found the studio and brought the gear in. We played three tunes "Dare" "Pretty Jane" and “Dead man's Dream" and had a great bit of banter. For those who missed it we'll have a hard copy soon and will be sure to post it!!!!!!

This week entails Colm being very tired and two shows!!! On Wednesday we're in the Globe Georges Street for the "song Room" this is an acoustic show which will be cool and then we're off the Bakersplace in Limerick for a balls to the wall rock show!!! So this is the second time i wrote this f***ing blog cause i just lost the 1st one, so read the s**t out of it!!!!!!

You may have noticed that we changed the layout on the page (thanks to GG), well this is going to be the artwork for our debut "Dead man's Dream" EP(which just arrived today from the UK) and everything else we put our name on for the next few months.
